I haven't kayaked in many of the worlds most pretty kayaking destinations but the paddling along the cliffs of Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Ley is something quite extraordinary and I'm sure compares with the best. Miles of vertical cliffs that plunge straight down to the ocean and then into coral reefs. This is a kayakers dream. It is difficult to know where to look as as you paddle tropical fish jump and heron birds swoop to catch the unfortunate infants. My favorite features are the blow holes on both the main Phi Phi Islands. The overhangs which at the right tide means you can paddle for hours out of the sun and some of the caves are quite magical. Kayak trips of Phi Phi Ley island are done by boats taken from the main Pier at Tonsai.
