The northern part of Phi Phi Don Island is Laem Tong. This quiet end of the island has beautiful beaches, a sleepy village and 3 places to stay, the Holiday Inn Resort Phi Phi, Phi Phi Island Village and Phi Phi Natural Resort.
Originally home to a large sea Gypsy community it has a sea with abundant coral reef full of marine life.
The Views of Bamboo Island, Mosquito Island and the province of Krabi are a continual pleasure. The Phi Phi View Point at sunset gives views of Phuket and Lanah Bay.

The views from the Zeavola are of Bamboo Island, Mosquito island and the Koh Jum and Krabi province in the distance.

Phi Phi Coral resort bar from before the Tsunami Photo Phi Phi Island

The Phi Phi Coral bar photo shows the way it was before the Zeavola resort was there. PP coral had a rustic and simple charm enhanced by it’s out of the way location. On a given day after a long tiring dive trip there was nothing better than to sip a beer on the beach and listen to the sound of the waves lapping the shores.

Now the Zeavola Resort has 2 small restaurants on the beach where you can enjoy the same pleasures but with a more studied ambiance.

Bamboo Island is a Thai National Park administered by the Krabi Province. It looks like an oasis of green in the aquamarine sea but ringed with a strong yellow beach. As you hang out at the Zeavola sipping your martini’s you can imagine what it would be like to jump into the cool waters and perfect sand as your boat breaches itself for your afternoon BBQ and nap…!

Phi Phi Natural Sunrise Photo Phi Phi Island

Photos of Phi Phi island sunrises are best taken on the east coast at Laem Tong. The silent seas between Phi Phi and the Krabi mainland silhouetted on the horizon bring pure joy to the heart. In fact all the best resorts on the east coast, like Zeavola resort, Phi Phi Holiday Inn Resort and Spa and Phi Phi island Village Resort and Spa share this glorious view for breakfast.

At the far north of Phi Phi Island, PP Natural Resort is quieter more serene and lends it self who want to be at the edge of the world…..

Hammock infront of the Holiday Inn Photo Phi Phi Island

The Holiday Inn Phi Phi Island Resort has a magical quality. Far from the nearest road, right on the beach, this resort allows you to kick back and watch the non too fast world go by.

Hammocks are strung out at a pleasing infrequency in front of the Holiday Inn Phi Phi Island Resort and if your like me invite you to sleep for the afternoon.

The islands infront of the Holiday Inn Phi Phi Island Resort are Bamboo Island National Park and the impressive Mosquito Island. The far distance is dominated by the Krabi Province coast line on the mainland.

The Holiday Inn Phi Phi Island Resort is highly recommended though often fully booked.

View of Laem Tong resort Photo Phi Phi Island

The Laem Tong resort of Phi Phi island are the Zeavola, Holiday Inn Phi Phi Islands resort and spa, PP Erawan Resort and PP Natural Resort.

My personnel favourite is the Zeavola Resort as it has all the grace and charm of a unique hotel specifically optimized for Phi Phi Island. The Zeavola villa had the highest specification of room on Phi Phi giving attention to detail like electric switches to move the wooden blinds up and down on the sun deck.

The Zeavola restaurants also get my thumbs up and I especially enjoyed the Maharaja Breakfast curried Indian style.

The Spa was created by the designer of the best Thai spa in Hua Hin and is sensational.

The ever stylish Zeavola Resort Photo Phi Phi Island

Zeavola Resort is my most stylish place to stay on Phi Phi Island. Zeavola resort is at Laem Tong which is the northern promontory of Phi Phi Don.

There is something about the Zeavola that reeks of panache, some serious money buying the best gurus for taste and eye catching individuality.

The simple way the beach chairs blur with the sand, the villa roofs blend with the landscaping makes this very appealing to the eye.
