Every time I hear the word Parrot I think of the Monty Python sketch which is off putting as this photo has a parrot fish swimming in front of me. Phi Phi Island is full of these parrot fish and they are know for creating the sand we walk on. Parrot fish eat the coral surface and their waste is sand. Huge sand beaches of Phi Phi Island owe a lot to the parrot fish.
