This photo is taken on Phi Phi island coral reefs in the south of Thailand. The coral of Phi Phi is shallow on the whole 1-8 meters near Tonsai Village and Runtee Bay coast line on Phi Phi Don and this makes for ideal snorkeling as the sun can penetrate and bring out the best of the colour in all the marine life.

Around Phi Phi Ley Island the shallower reefs are in Maya bay and Loh Samah and at the entrance of Pi Ley. The rest of the shores of Phi Phi ley are cliffed and are from 8-24 meters. This deeper reefs are the ones dived and divers from all over the world enjoy an incredible variation of underwater environment which changes by seasons and every hour in the tide. The visibility on Phi Phi island will also change by season and by the state of the tide.
