Cars
The only cars you will be booking for your Phi Phi holiday are any cars to get you to or from the pier to Phi Phi Island. There are no cars on the island, the only way around the island is by foot and by boat.
One of the many things that sets Phi Phi Island apart from many other holiday destinations is the fact that there are no busy streets crammed with cars, no honking horns, no cars, buses and taxis polluting the air. This tiny island is navigated by foot and by boat which visitors love.
Some holiday travelers may be concerned at first about visiting a place that does not allow cars, but once there they love the fact that they can enjoy this island paradise that remains pristine precisely because of the lack of cars.
Phi Phi Transportation: Boats
The main Phi Phi transportation, other than your feet, is boat. There are boats that take you to and from all the primary beaches on the island. Once you get off the boat you can walk to anywhere you need to go in the town.
Phi Phi transportation by boat is fun, unique and inexpensive. You can even charter one of the boats to be a private transport for you or you and your family. The cost remains very inexpensive especially when compared to taxis in vacation destinations.
You will want to make sure you have comfortable shoes if you plan to walk around town and go shopping, dining or site seeing. Some first time visitors complain that they did not bring the right shoes for too much walking and they will be doing a considerable amount of walking.
Phi Phi Island transportation is unique in its simplicity and makes it part of the overall holiday experience. |
